Welcome to the Bio-INvENT Lab!!
About the Lab:
Bio-INvENT Lab is a research and development laboratory with a focus on ideation, design, development, testing and commercialization of innovative biomedical products. The lab was established in 2017 by Dr. Sudhir Ranganath, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at SIT Tumakuru with generous funding support from Sree Siddaganga Education Society (SSES), Tumakuru.
The lab conducts cutting-edge basic research in biomedical sciences including cancer biology, stem cell biology, and ocular diseases, leading to the identification of unmet needs followed by the development, testing and commercialization of engineering/nanotechnology-driven innovative biomedical solutions. As the name suggests, the lab works at the interface of biology, medicine, chemical engineering, materials, nanotechnology and physics.
Vision of the Lab:
To become a world-class center of excellence in biomedical research, innovation and entrepreneurship
Mission of the Lab:
To establish a state-of-the-art biomedical research infrastructure
To train and create future leaders in biomedical research and innovation
To provide affordable and high efficiency biomedical products to the healthcare sector
